The online Sanatayn Programme is designed for sisters aged 14+ who wish to enrich their knowledge of Islam in a practical and relatable way which fits around a busy lifestyle.

Course Overview

This fully online program covers essential Islamic studies in an accessible manner, with no prior knowledge required. It is delivered with a personal development approach by promoting the application of delivered material through mentorship by qualified female Alimahs and experienced tutors.

Course objectives

The course aims that, upon successful completion, the student is grounded in their basic Islamic knowledge which is mandatory for all Muslims and through which they can attain nearness to their Lord, taking examples from the life of the beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Students will develop foundational theological and jurisprudential knowledge, by which they can live their lives as Muslimahs, and have the necessary tools to progress to more advanced study if they choose.

Who is this course for?

This program is open to all sisters aged 14+ who are able to commit to regular attendance and consistent study.

Timing

2 days a week in the evenings for 2 and a half hours, for 40 weeks per year (approx).

Curriculum

The first year of focuses on building groundwork in Quranic recitation and Tajweed, focussing on pronunciation of letters (makharij), correcting stretches (Madd, Ghunnah, Ikhfa', etc.), and improving fluency. Tafseer (exegesis) of the Last 10 Surahs and Surah Ya-Sin will be explored, and students will access an English primer in the Hanafi school of thought. Seerah will be taught through the book Seeratul Mustafa ﷺ by the esteemed Mawlana Idrees Kandhalwi (may Allah have mercy on him).

The second year continues with these objectives and focuses on building upon Tafseer knowledge through Surah Waqi'ah, Rahman, Mulk, and other selected Surahs.

Exams & Assignments

The assessment structure for the course is tailored to the academic year and students' abilities, with variations in format and content to allow learners to excel. These may include oral assessments, as well as written examinations. Teachers will assess your work and provide constructive feedback, highlighting your strengths, areas for improvement, and opportunities for further growth.

Fees & Funding

There are three payment options to pay the Al Masjid class fees:

  • Option 1: A single payment of £600 per year.
  • Option 2: Four payments of £160 (totalling £640 over the year).
  • Option 3: Twelve payments of £55 (totalling £660 over the year).
